ABOUT RACHEL

Dr Rachel Campbell has more than a decade of experience in the music industry. She’s a highly sought-after choral director and vocal coach, renowned for building dynamic new groups from the ground up.

Rachel is the former Musical Director of the Australian Rugby Choir, and former conductor at Woden Valley Youth Choir. She was specialist choral director and advisor to the ACT Department of Education via the Step into the Limelight program, where she conducted a children's chorus of 400 and directed the Featured Artists. She was invited to the prestigious Festival of Voices in Tasmania and has been Program Manager at ANCA Choralfest. She taught the specialist aural program at the International School of Music where she’s now part of the network’s global training.

Rachel has a PhD from the University of New England researching musical celebrity in the 19th century, and is also an entertaining performer in her own right.

ABOUT PAUL

Paul loves bringing his clever multimedia and filmmaking inventiveness to AVC’s music performances. He’s a screenwriter and filmmaker who loves stories about time travel and warped realities. His TV comedy pilot, Above the Angelic, won the Page International Screenwriting Awards.

His feature film, In Search of an Ending, was highly praised by the Academy Awards Nicholl Fellowship calling it “wildly inventive” and “very Charlie Kaufman – it's that kind of brilliant”. In Search of an Ending is slated for production in 2022 in Canada and will be directed by Peter Howitt (Sliding Doors).

Paul’s award-winning musical short film Jingle Man, starring Colin Lane is distributed in the USA and Europe through Shorts TV.

As one half of the creative team at Magenius, Paul writes and creates engaging TVCs and video experiences for organisations across Australia.
